Assassin’s Creed: Unity “Season Pass” announced, includes new downloadable game

Ubisoft have announced the Assassin’s Creed: Unity “Season Pass” details, and it looks like one of the most interesting takes on the concept yet. Included are a post-game story campaign taking place in Saint Denis, home of the eerie crypts of the French Kings, and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, a stand alone game developed by Climax Studios set in 16th century China. Of course you also have the obligatory extra missions, weapons and customisation options for the base game.

The Assassin’s Creed series has had a good run of interesting season pass content, from “Tyranny of King George” offering an alternative history take on George Washington to “Freedom Cry” dealing with slavery, and that looks set to continue with Unity. Chronicles: China is especially interesting, a full downloadable game with new mechanics and a stylish art style from the developers of Castlevania: Lord of Shadows and the recent Silent Hill games. Take a look at the trailer below, which highlights both Saint Denis and Chronicles, as well as a most un-assassin like bayonet/mortar weapon.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity arrives 13 November for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with all season pass content promised by early 2015. No price point was announced for the season pass.
