Assassin’s Creed: Origins (finally) announced at E3 2017

Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed: Origins during the Xbox E3 press conference running in true 4K on Xbox One X.

It’s set in Egypt during the early era of the Assassins following protagonist Bayek, a protector of his community described as an “Egyptian sheriff”.

The alpha gameplay footage opened in Siwa with Bayek on a horse, before quickly jumping to control an Eagle to a literal bird’s eye view of a fortress through an updated Eagle vision.

From there it was straight into some classic Assassin’s Creed parkour, combined with what appeared to be modernised combat with a much greater emphasis placed on using a bow and arrow.
