Amy Hennig departs Naughty Dog

IGN reports that Amy Hennig has departed Naughty Dog. Citing “Numerous trusted sources close to Naughty Dog” IGN reports that Hennig’s last day with the developer was 3 March.

Up until her final day Hennig was apparently working on Uncharted for PS4 and according to IGN sources she was “forced out” of the company by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley. Hennig had been with Naughty Dog for 10 years having worked on all three Uncharted titles.

Sony confirmed Hennig’s departure to IGN in a statement that reads, “We can confirm that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog. Amy has made significant contributions to the game industry and we appreciate all she has done for Naughty Dog. The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted.”

Hennig has tweeted to thank fans for their support writing, “Thanks, everyone, for the kind words – it’s very appreciated. More than you know.”

We’ll update the story with any developments.
