Activision CEO: Destiny “got a lot more right than wrong”

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg has spoken with Examiner about the approaching one year anniversary of Destiny. Hirshberg praised Bungie for nailing “the investment into your character” and said both Activision and Bungie “got a lot more right than we got wrong” with the ambitious shooter.

It is hard to argue with the claim that Destiny nailed character investment, many gamers have spent hundreds of hours chasing down weapons and improving gear. It is also hard to agree with Hirshberg when he says “there have already been some improvements with the following content” when talking about the story of Destiny, minimal at launch and still threadbare now.

Bungie are making a lot of positive changes for the upcoming “The Taken King” based on first year feedback, including improvements to narrative, levelling systems and gear. “The Taken King” expansion arrives 15 September for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.
