As you might expect, this was our toughest category of the year. And let’s be honest — it was between Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Nothing else.
Perhaps surprisingly, Stevivor voted overwhelmingly for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It wasn’t even a contest in the end.
“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the first, real current-gen title I’ve experienced,” Leo said in his review. “Its refusal to compromise sets it apart from any game released thus far for this generation. Its skillful portrayal of many wide ranging and often problematic themes should be applauded, as should its narrative.”
Kudos to CD Projekt Red for making such a great game and treating fans with the utmost respect doing so.
Stay tuned for more GOTY tomorrow.
