PAX AUS 2016 parties: Your guide to general admission shindigs

PAX AUS officially starts today, so you know what that means — so too do the parties.

We’ve gathered the hottest spots for post-PAX fun over this weekend so you don’t have to.

Friday, 4 November

Twitch PAX AUS Party: Beyond doubt, Friday night is Twitch night. Those with a PAX AUS badge can try for general admission from 9.00pm AEDT.

Co-op Drinks: Those from all corners of the games industry are descending upon The General Assembly, South Wharf (29 South Wharf Promenade, Melbourne) from 8.00 pm AEDT.

“This event is a beautiful monster, bringing together ridiculous numbers of people from all ends of the games industry to simply enjoy each other’s company as friends during Melbourne International Games Week,” is the event’s pitch. Sounds good, eh?

Beta Boat After Party: Beta Bar becomes Beta Boat on Sunday, offering up a cosplay ball on the high seas (or, really, the shallow waters of the bay). Tickets for the event are $30 AUD, and must be purchased beforehand.

The event, 18+ only, starts at 7.00pm AEDT, and launches from Docklands.
