Microsoft digs up a treasure trove of Atari games at New Mexico landfill

Over the ANZAC Day long weekend, Microsoft successfully excavated a New Mexico landfill for an upcoming documentary on Atari.

As expected, the excavation uncovered a myriad of Atari-related items, including system components and a ton of games, some still in their original shrink wrap.

Xbox’s Major Nelson was able to send tweets from the landfill itself.

Microsoft took part in the excavation alongside Fuel Industries, who are creating the documentary.
