Astro shows off updated A50 headset at E3

Astro Gaming have taken to E3 to reveal their all new update to the classic Astro A50.

The new Astro A50 maintains the same wireless functionality the series is known for and now operates on the 5GHz band, reducing interference from outside sources. The headset comes in two flavours, one designed for Xbox/PC Gaming and the other for PlayStation/PC Gaming. Both headsets feature the same lightweight design, 7.1 surround sound and noise cancelling microphone as well as an all new base station design for charging the headset.

The brand new base station design is the business end of the Astro A50s’, functioning as a docking/charging station for the headset and as the audio transmitter with both AUX and Optical ports. Offering 3 preset EQ modes as well as the option to customize your own, the Astro A50 lets you can tailor the sound to ensure it’s just how you like it.

The updated Astro A50 will retail for AUD$479.95 for the PS4/PC version and AUD$489.95 for the Xbox One/PC version and will be available in late August from most major retailers.
