Updated story: The demo is now available for download here.

Enjoy!

Original story: A playable demo for Resident Evil 3.5 Recreation, (aka Code Madman), a fan-made project by ShiguWorks, will soon be released to end users.

The demo, available in a couple hours from the time of writing, is an attempt to recreate the infamous Resident Evil 4 “Hookman” demo shown at 2003’s E3 and coincides with the game’s 12th anniversary.

For reference, Capcom’s demo trailer is below:

The following video is a sneak peak at Resident Evil 3.5 Recreation:

Recreation uses a combination of assets, including those from RE4 and RE5 plus original works, to capture the atmosphere of Capcom’s cancelled project.

We’ll let you know when the demo for Recreation is available. For more information on the project, head to Reddit, NeoGAF or YouTube.

Resident Evil 4 was first released on the GameCube on 11 January 2005. It’s seen numerous releases on most major platforms since.
