22 Cans’ — headed up by Peter Molyneux — god-game Godus has taken its first tentative steps onto iOS with the game launching on the New Zealand App Store.
Godus on iOS is a free download and while a wide release hasn’t been announced, the New Zealand release suggests it will hit the App Store in other regions sometime soon.
Users can opt-in to in-app purchases of gems with 100 costing $6.49NZD (about $6.00 AUD). Molyneux chooses to call his game “invest-to-play” rather than free-to-play and posits, “What really are we doing? We are tempting people to invest some of their money into a game.”
