Konami is already planning a new “large-scale” Metal Gear Solid game

Konami is already planning what’s next for the Metal Gear Solid series, noting that a “large scale” investment will be necessary when development starts.

According to Nikkei (via Kotaku) Konami has begun talks about the next installment in the franchise with the company previously stating their intention to continue making games in the series.

Whether this is with or without the creator and brains behind the series Hideo Kojima remains to be seen. Konami has been reporting that Kojima is simply on vacation, despite the man himself stating that he and the studio had parted ways.

It’s no surprise that Konami is looking to continue development on what is likely their most successful series considering Metal Gear Solid V has already shipped 5 million copies world wide.
