Welcome to Stevivor Creative and its online base of operations for Steve Wright and his freelance web-design and writing offerings. Stephen Douglas Wright Pty Ltd trades as Stevivor Creative in Australia and is pleased to offer services to clients old and new.

Before any further explanation, it’s Stee-VIVE-or, a mixture of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, not like ‘Steve’ and ‘carnivore’. Maybe the site’s old logo will help you get the distinction (see right).

The moniker came about as Steve needed as a place to post his journals and pictures while on a short vacation to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Seeing as the second season of Survivor, one of Steve’s favourite shows, was filming in the Australian Outback at the same time, the meld of names seemed right when it was time to purchase a domain name. Now, years later, it’s too late to change something else…and, however it’s pronounced, the name has seemed to have stuck.

After Steve decided to move from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada to Melbourne in 2001, the website has evolved and matured with him. In its current incarnation, the website still features journal entries, picture galleries and an area assisting gay youth in the coming out process,  but largely showcases Steve’s portfolio of games-, movie-, technology- and hockey-based journalism. The opinions expressed on the site are Steve Wright’s and not those of any of his employers.

It is Steve’s hope that the information presented on this website is not only fun to look at, but interesting, informative, and helpful as well. Enjoy yourself here at the Stevivor Creative Blog!
