Steam: A new concurrent user record was set over the weekend

Steam has just broken its record the number of concurrent users on the service.

This past weekend, on 8 January, there were exactly 14,370,167 users using the PC gaming platform. This has broken Steam’s past record, set on 3 January 2016, of 12.3 million users.

As to be expected, Dota 2 proved the most popular game at the time, with 849,970 peak concurrent users. Counter-Strike, Grand Theft Auto V and Team Fortress also posted up big numbers.

Were you adding to the concurrent player count on 8 January?
