Nintendo Switch supports microSDXC cards up to 2TB in size

Nintendo has today confirmed that the Nintendo Switch will support microSDXC cards up to 2TB in size.

“Nintendo Switch is compatible with the SDXC standard, which supports up to 2TB,” the publisher confirmed with GameInformer earlier today, adding, “Note that 2TB cards are not yet on the market, but the system will support them when they are.”

256GB microSD cards are priced anywhere between $90 – $220 AUD here in Australia. It’s unclear what 2TB models will cost upon availability.

We previewed the Switch earlier today.
