Eternal Darkness trademark re-registered by Nintendo ahead of Switch reveal
A new release, or just Virtual Console? Who cares -- we'll take either one.
Scant weeks before Nintendo’s first meaty Switch conference, the publisher has re-registered the trademark for Eternal Darkness.
Nintendo’s application, in reference to “downloadable electronic game software,” was submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office on 20 December last year, a mere three weeks ahead of the 13 January Switch reveal.
The publisher has yet to comment on the registration, though we’ll keep you posted.
Do you think we’ll have a new Eternal Darkness title announced next week, or is this in reference to a potential Virtual Console GameCube release? It also could be nothing at all — similar trademark re-registrations were made back in 2010 and 2013.
