The recent Resident Evil 7 data mine, coupled with information from Biohazard France, has revealed that references to at least three characters in the Resident Evil franchise exist in the coming game.
Spoilers ahead.
First, a newspaper article referencing the disappearance of citizens in the Dulvey area — where the Baker mansion is located — is credited to Alyssa Ashcroft, a character in Resident Evil: Outbreak.
Second, another, separate file is signed by Clive O’Brian, the former Director of the BSAA. He first appeared in Resident Evil: Revelations.
Finally, as reported earlier today, a data mine has revealed several references to a character named “Albert”. While it’s yet to be confirmed that the references are in relation to franchise antagonist Albert Wesker, it’s highly likely.
