Pokémon Go celebrates the holidays with incubator, second gen egg drops

Pokémon Go developer Niantic took to its blog to detail gifts that will be distributed to players over this festive season.

From 25 December through to 3 January 2017, “PokéStops will award one single-use Incubator each day after your first Photo Disc spin,” Niantic said.

Additionally, “there will be a greater chance of finding Eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu, and several other recently found Pokémon, originally discovered in the Johto region.”

Moreover, from 30 December to 8 January 2016, players will be more likely to find first generation starter Pokémon, including their evolutions. That includes Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle and Blastoise. Lures will also last for a full hour rather than just 30 minutes during this time.

Pokemon Go is available on iOS (including Apple Watch) and Android devices.
