Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain takes you to the top of the slopes

Microsoft today detailed Forza Horizon 3‘s first major piece of DLC, “Blizzard Mountain”.

Set in an “extreme, snowy Alpine” setting, the content comes with eight new vehicles, one new Barn Find, the option for snow tyres, new Bucket Lists, Blueprints and, of course, over 50 new races, events and challenges.

New race types include Hill Climb, Descent, and Blizzard events are among the new race types.

The new vehicles include:

  • 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX
  • 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck
  • 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4
  • 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B
  • 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept
  • 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck
  • 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car

The first piece of DLC is not offered as part of Forza Horizon 3‘s whopping $140 AUD Ultimate Edition, meaning you’ll have to buy it separately or as part of the game’s new expansion pass, priced at $34.99 USD. Those with the Ultimate Edition will receive a $10 USD discount on the pass, though it’s unclear what Australian pricing will look like.

“Blizzard Mountain” heads to Windows PC and Xbox One on 13 December. We reviewed Forza Horizon 3 here.
