Evolve: Effective immediately, the 4v1 shooter no longer supported by developer Turtle Rock

Turtle Rock has announced today that it will no longer support Evolve, effective immediately.

In a blog post titled, “Our Final Message To Our Evolve Community”, Turtle Rock’s co-founder, Chris Ashton, laid it all out on the line.

“This is the life of AAA game developers who aren’t self-funded and down own their own IP,” Ashton said.

“We don’t get to make the call. We all know that going in but we still sign the dotted line because we love what we do. We are happy to have gotten the opportunity to do something risky, something new and innovative.”

Evolve was first released in 2015, published by 2K Games. The title went free-to-play in July of this year.
