Destiny: Rise of Iron: Heroic Wrath of the Machine Raid guide

Destiny‘s newest Raid, Wrath of the Machine, now is available in Heroic mode, offering tough challenges to overcome.

Here’s what’s different in the harder version of Destiny‘s newest Raid, offered up for Guardians with Light of 390 or higher:

Archpriest Vosik, encounter one

• Not much changes here, apart from enemies that are more aggressive and harder to kill.
• It appears that there are less charges to collect as well, so plann accordingly.

Archpriest Vosik, encounter two

• Enemies, again, are more aggressive and harder to kill.
• Six SIVA Charges will drop instead of three; all six Guardians should throw their Charges at the same time to bring down Vosik’s shield. Then, straight up DPS time.
• Monitor watch basically remains the same.
• Safe rooms work in the same way, but have blocks that mean each Guardian will have to slide or crouch-walk to get into the room.
• Defeating Vosik will spawn two SIVA Cache chests — one normal, one Heroic.

Siege Engine

• Enemies, again, are more aggressive and harder to kill.
• During the carry phase, a Splicer Walker will drop in place of Captains. You don’t need to kill it, but you should focus on destroying one joint so it goes vulnerable (and stops shooting at you). You may have to do this multiple times.
• Defeating the Siege Engine will spawn two SIVA Cache chests — one normal, one Heroic.

Aksis, encounter one

• Enemies, again, are more aggressive and harder to kill.
• Three SIVA turrets will also spawn in each of the three main arenas. You’ll need to drop them every 15-20 seconds or so, or else they’ll pummel you. Try shooting the turret just as you run to kill the spawning Captains; it only takes one shot from a high-impact sniper like Event Horizon. Have the bomb thrower keep an eye on their turret between Servitors.
• Defeating Aksis will spawn two SIVA Cache chests — one normal, one Heroic.

Aksis, encounter two

• Enemies, again, are more aggressive and harder to kill.
• Nine Servitors will spawn during each SIVA Charge phase, mirroring the third phase of Aksis in the normal Raid. You’ll should throw all nine charges at Aksis; seven will remove his shield.
• When Aksis gets to low health, he’ll fade in and out. Be certain with your shots.
• Defeating Aksis will spawn two SIVA Cache chests — one normal, one Heroic.
