Battlefield 1 open beta: Servers back online after 10+ hour DDoS attack

The Battlefield 1 open beta experienced at least a ten hour downtime in its first full day yesterday after hackers launched a DDoS attack at its servers.

EA Support says problems occurred between 4.30 am AEST on 1 September and lasted until 1.30 pm AEST, but players are saying they experienced upwards of 15 hours of downtime.

Available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4, the open beta’s also caught flak for a nasty progression bug.

You can try out the open beta from 1-9 September. We’ve already shown off gameplay from Rush and Conquest on the Sinai Desert map. Moreover, here’s all you need to know about the beta.
