For Honor’s multiplayer modes and playable characters detailed

Ubisoft has confirmed all playable modes in For Honor and detailed the three factions — Vikings, Samurai and Knights — at Gamescom.

Joining the campaign revealed at E3 are five multiplayer modes: Dominion, Brawl, Duel, Elimination and Skirmish.

Dominion is a 4v4 objective-based mode in which two teams of four players fight for control of the battlefield. It’s a mode that relies upon skill, communication and teamwork.

Brawl 2v2: Each team of two players need to kill the two enemy Heroes to win a round. Skill, awareness, cooperation and the capacity to use the environment to the player’s advantage are key components.

Duel 1v1 puts two Heroes face-to-face in a fight to the death. Skill is fundamental in Duel of course, but as in Brawl, players have the possibility to use the environment to their advantage.

Skirmish is a 4v4 Team Death Match like mode. Combat skills are key in this mode as players score points for their team by killing enemy Heroes.

Elimination In this 4v4 mode, the last surviving player on the battlefield wins the round for their team.[/blockquote]

The Gamescom trailer details the backstory in brief of the Vikings, Samurai and Knights. Within each faction there are four different classes of warriors.

Vanguards are balanced fighters across attack and defence. Assassins are nibble and swift with a focus on offence. Heavies are resistant to damage with slow but deadly attacks. Hybrid mix all of the above and harbour unusual attacks.

For Honor is being developed by a team within Ubisoft Montreal, but PC specialist Blue Byte will bring it to Windows. The internal Ubisoft studio focuses on optimising games for PC.

Ubisoft also announced the For Honor Collector’s Case Edition, which is exclusive to Uplay. It includes a copy of For Honor – Gold Edition, which includes the season pass and bonus digital content, as well as three 1/3 scale Viking, Samurai and Knight faction helmets.
