Battlefield 1 open beta date set for Xbox One, PS4 and PC

The Battlefield 1 open beta will begin on September 1 Australian time (August 31 in the US), EA has announced.

It can be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC via EA Origin. Battlefield 1 Insiders will be able to select their platform of choice first and get early access, but DICE hasn’t said by how long.

The beta will take place on the 64-player Sinai Desert map, featured in today’s Gamescom trailer, and includes two modes: Conquest and Rush. As well as horses and an armoured train, players will be able to try out the new Flame Trooper, Sentry and Tank Hunter elite classes.

Battlefield 1 will be released worldwide on October 21.
