Nintendo NX rumoured to be a tablet with two detachable controllers, running cartridges

Eurogamer today reports that the Nintendo NX will be a tablet-based portable console, complete with detachable controllers, running cartridge-based games.

In portable mode, the unit will feature two controller sections on either end of the tablet, though the controllers can be removed when the tablet is docked to your home TV.

The report states that the tablet will run an Nvidia Tegra mobile processor, powering games that will be shipped either digitally or on 32GB cartridges.

Nintendo is keeping quiet, choosing not to comment on the report. We’ll have more when it’s made available.

The Nintendo NX will debut in March 2017.
