The Gears of War 4 2TB Xbox One bundle is real

Microsoft didn’t waste time in confirming yesterday’s rumoured 2TB Gears of War 4 Xbox One Slim bundle, already taking to Xbox Wire to detail it.

Here’s what’s in the bundle:

  • Gritty, battle-weathered custom Xbox One S console with a massive 2TB hard drive
  • All-new Xbox Wireless Controller – Gears of War 4 Crimson Omen Limited Edition, featuring a textured grip for enhanced comfort; our most reliable wireless signal ever, with up to two times the wireless range compared to previous controllers when used with Xbox One S; and Bluetooth radio, giving you an easy wireless connection to your Windows 10 PCs and tablets
  • 4K Ultra HD video and Blu-ray player, custom system sounds, and a vertical stand
  • High Dynamic Range support for video and games
  • Full game download of Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition for both Xbox One and Windows 10 (featuring cross-play support in all co-op modes) – a $99 value
  • Early access to the game on Oct. 7
  • Gears of War 4 Season Pass, featuring the exclusive Vintage VIP Pack, permanent access to future multiplayer maps for private games, six additional Gear Packs including the Vintage JD Gear Pack, early previews to upcoming modes, and much more

The Crimson Omen Xbox wireless controller will also be sold separately. While the bundle is available for pre-order overseas, it doesn’t seem to be available in Australia as of yet. The regular 2TB Xbox One Slim is priced at $549.00 AUD.

Moreover, another Gears-themed Xbox controller will be offered, modelled in the colours worn by protagonist JD Fenix. You can check it out below:

It’s listed as a GameStop and Microsoft Store exclusive, so it stands to reason EB Games will offer it up here in Australia.

We’ll have more on these new devices as it’s made available.

Update: The bundle is now available to order at EB Games Australia’s website. It’ll cost you $599 AUD. The Crimson controller on its own and the JD controller are both $109 AUD.
