Plantronics announces new RIG800, 600 and 400 headsets

Plantronics has taken to E3 to announce three new products in their range of RIG headsets for Xbox One and PlayStation 4: the RIG 800, 400 and 600 series.

The RIG 800 is the new flagship model with 24 hours of wireless battery life and models designed for both the Xbox One (RIG 800 HX) and the PlayStation 4 (RIG 800 HS).  The RIG 800 HS joins the previously announced RIG 4VR as another VR ready headset designed specifically for use with the PlayStation VR when it launches in October.

The RIG 800 hits retailers in September and will retail for $279.99 while the RIG 4VR will retail for $129.99 when it launches sometime in Q3. There’s no set release date or price available yet for either the RIG 400 or RIG 600.

We were impressed by the RIG 500HD when we trialled it earlier this year, here’s hoping Plantronics can continue that trend with the new entries in the RIG series.
