Mass Effect: Andromeda is proving to be an entirely different beast than the original trilogy we’ve all come to know and love. It won’t factor in your previous games’ save files, nor will it use the Renegade/Paragon morality system, BioWare has confirmed.
“I think in general, with all this sophistication of games or engaging in any kind of entertainment right now, [players are] looking for more of those shades of grey,” BioWare’s Mac Walters told GamesRadar.
Walters continued on to say that the old morality system “was a core part of who Shepard was … [but] I think now we’re moving away from that. We’ve been looking for other ways to engage more of those shades of grey; less about it being obviously being right or wrong and more about giving people a sense of choice.”
Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available from next year on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
