Dungeon Tracker: Kickstarter for Aussie-based fitness tracker-slash-RPG has launched

Dungeon Tracker, a hybrid fitness tracker and RPG, has officially launched its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter over the weekend.

Developed by Aussie indie studio Asura Productions, the game is slated for Apple Watch and hopes to also make it to Android Wear.

“As players exercise in the real world, their steps are converted into mana points in the game world which can be used to level up their character, buy new equipment to both improve their character’s stats and customise their appearance, and progress through the game’s numerous dungeons,” Asura explained in a recent press release. “Dungeon Tracker includes all the features you’d expect from a modern fitness tracker, including step tracking, heart rate monitoring, daily, weekly, and monthly goals plus the ability to see how many calories have been burned, and the total distance traveled.”

Update: The game’s Kickstarter has been relaunched, with Apple iPhone now added to the list of platforms. You can check out the game’s Kickstarter here. The project is seeking $16,500 AUD.
