Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End developer Naughty Dog included some clever easter eggs in-game, using some of their past works including Crash Bandicoot and The Last of Us. While the former’s a great game, the mere inclusion of Crash had fans buzzing: had Sony somehow re-secured the rights to the beloved franchise back from Activision?
The simple answer is no.
While there are a couple Crash Bandicoot references in Uncharted 4, Sony’s Adam Boyes was pretty clear on the matter via Twitter:
@tulupowdan yes, as I've said before Activision owns the rights to Crash Bandicoot

Now, if you want to know what those actual easter eggs look like, we’ll include them below. If not, go no further.
First, there are a pair of Crash and The Last of Us treasures up for grabs, as shown below:
That’s a wumpa fruit from Crash on the left and a Firefly pendant from The Last of Us on the right.
There’s also a major sequence within Uncharted 4 that lets you take control of Crash Bandicoot for three full turns, but we’ll save that experience for you in-game.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is available on PS4 from today.
