Remedy’s Sam Lake, speaking with Kotaku, has quashed the idea that a recent trademark of “Alan Wake’s Return” meant bigger and better things for the franchise.
Lake says the trademark was applied for merely because of the live-action content within the upcoming Quantum Break.
“A big part of the trademarking process all in all is the legalities of it,” Lake said. “Just making sure everything is covered. So, no real news about anything future Alan Wake-related.”
Lake said Remedy is “exploring possibilities and concepting different things,” for the Alan Wake franchise. He assured fans that when there is “something definite to talk about,” we’ll know.
Quantum Break heads to Xbox One and Windows PC in early April.
