The Division gives you the opportunity to change gear attributes through a re-roll.
The process is called Recalibration in-game, and requires the Recalibration upgrade in your main base’s Tech Wing. That upgrade unlocks the Stat Switch perk alongside the Recalibration Station.
Recalibration only works on armour and for one attribute category only. You get a chance to see possible outcomes before you commit to the process.
