Nintendo NX rumours: To be released in two stages, will work with PCs and competitor consoles

The latest batch of Nintendo NX rumours have hit the internet, and some are just downright crazy. Slash awesome.

First up, the Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki has it on good authority that the NX will work with smartphones, PCs and even consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One.

More believably, Macquarie Capital Securities says that the NX will be released in two stages — the portable component in 2016, followed by a more traditional home console component in 2017.

Macquarie believes the portable component will be priced at $200 USD.

Nintendo, as you’d expect, has not made comment on the reports.

We’ll have more on the NX as it becomes available.
