Legacy of Kain has an even money chance of returning this generation

Speaking with Finder, Crystal Dynamics senior designer Michael Brinker has said there is a “50/50 chance” that a single player Legacy of Kain game will appear this generation. In an age of reboots and revivals the popular Legacy of Kain series has been surprisingly absent, save an axed 2012 release subtitled “Dead Sun”.

Crystal Dymanics is focusing now on their successful Tomb Raider reboot, which should occupy their time for the foreseeable future. Legacy of Kain is too rich a property to leave buried in the sands of time forever, but it seems unlikely much will happen while the Tomb Raider train is running hot.
