Hallowstream 2015 kicks off tonight, raising funds for Extra Life

Australian video games news and reviews program New Game Plus is kicking off its annual charity gaming stream — Hallowstream — tonight to raise money for Extra Life.

Extra Life is self described as  “an online grassroots movement working to save local kids through the power of play” and the Hallowstream 2015 will see cast and crew of New Game Plus playing through a range of horror titles over 24-hours, streamed live and seeking your donations.

2015’s Hallowstream is sub-titled The Delay-ening due to it being pushed back a week so as not to occur on the same weekend as PAX Aus. Kicking off tonight at 8PM AEDT [GMT+11] the stream will feature horror gems such as Project Zero: Maiden of the Black WaterThe Typing of the Dead and P.T..

Extra Life’s National Game Day is 7 November 2015 so the Hallowstream will coincide witl many events worldwide all seeking to raise funds and do good through the power of play. To check out the stream head to http://www.twitch.tv/newgameplustv.

Last year’s Hallowstream raised over $300 for Extra Life and the team are keen to break that record. To support the team head to their Extra Life page.
