US Netflix subscriptions are getting a little bit more expensive from today

The price of a 2-stream US Netflix account is getting a bit more expensive as of today with the price rising to $9.99 USD a month. The standard definition streaming plan will be unaffected, staying at $7.99 USD.

This price rise only affects new customers for now but existing subscribers will be charged $9.99 as of October 2016. That’s roughly a $1.40 AUD price increase, not that any Australians use the US version of Netflix though, right?
