Star Wars: Battlefront won’t have dedicated voice chat

According to IGN Star Wars Battlefront won’t support dedicated voice chat, meaning those who want to communicate will have to do so via the console party systems or third party software on PC.

For a team focused shooter this move is surprising but from years of experience it is very rare for the in game chat to be used for more than abusing your teammates or as an avenue to blast your favourite rap tracks. It is a rare case when strangers actually communicate in a meaningful way via voice chat.

Star Wars Battlefront will be released 19 November for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
