New Xbox One Experience invites going out to more Preview Program users; Cortana, later this year

Microsoft yesterday confirmed that the New Xbox One Experience will be headed to more Preview Program members soon.

The new invites will be accompanied by a host of fixes for the Windows 10-powered experience.

“We’re fixing lots of stuff, and adding new features too. We’re excited about the feedback we’re getting, and excited to get feedback from more of you as we make it more widely available,” Microsoft’s Emily Hanson said via an update.

“The good news is we’re planning on expanding to more people over the next week or two,” she continued. “We really appreciate the patience and understanding of the community during this process.”

Moreover, Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb took to his blog to state that Cortana, Microsoft’s personal assistant, will head to Preview Program users before the end of the year.

“For those who have asked about Cortana, our plan is to add Cortana to the Xbox One experience preview later this year,” he said. “From there, we’ll ensure that the experience is tuned for gamers before we officially launch Cortana in 2016.”

We previewed the New Xbox One Experience at E3 earlier this year.
