Watch: Hideo Kojima walks us through a 10-minute Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain debriefing

In an official debriefing video for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Hideo Kojima is taking fans on a 10-minute journey about what the game and series mean to him.

Kojima states that the The Phantom Pain would never have been possible without the fans and he apologises for the length of time they’ve had to wait for the title. Kojima says that he believes The Phantom Pain is truly special and wants all of his fans to enjoy it.

Metal Gear Solid fan Sean Gillespie, who passed away in February, is made an honorary member of the Metal Gear team by Kojima in the video in a segment where the developer visists Gillespie’s family and hand delivers signed copies of The Phantom Pain.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
