Junji Ito collaborated on cancelled Silent Hills game according to Guillermo del Toro

Well known horror manga artist Junji Ito was working with Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima on the now cancelled Silent Hills game. Del Toro revealed the collaboration in a tweet yesterday, calling Ito the “undisputed master of horror in Japan.”

Known for characters who’re driven insane by lust and jealousy and his ability to subvert preconceived ideas, Ito seems like a perfect addition to the series.

I’m adding this to the long list of “What Silent Hills could have been”. Oh well.
