A recent trademark filing by Bandai Namco for Slashy Souls has the internet in a flutter.
Registered on the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Slashy Souls is referred to as a computer game and software. The trademark doesn’t mention a specific platform, nor does it reveal any details about what exactly Slashy Souls is. With Dark Souls 3 coming up it may be a companion app or a spin-off. It may also be entirely unrelated.
That the name includes the Souls moniker definitely suggests it’s related to Dark Souls in some way, but for now we’ll have to just wildly speculate.
Dark Souls 3 will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2016.
