The Burning Legion return to Azeroth in World of Warcraft’s sixth expansion, “Legion”

Today, Blizzard announced from Gamescom, the sixth expansion to World of Warcraft; “Legion.” This new chapter sees the return of the demonic Burnind Legion who wish to resurrect their fallen leader Sargeras, Ravager of Worlds.

The heroes of Azeroth are forced to take shelter in the ruins of the Broken Isles where they will learn to master Artifact weapons which are the only hope for defeating the Burning Legion. New features and content included in the expansion are;

  • New Hero Class: Demon Hunter
  • Artifact weapons
  • New continent: The Broken Isles
  • New PvP honour system
  • Boost to level 100

In “Legion” the level cap is raised to 110 while players will use the new Order Hall for their base of operations. Here players can send NPC characters on missions and master their Artifact weapons so as to dispatch the encroaching Legion.

The new Honour system in PvP opens up a brand new progression tree. Upon defeating enemies players’ will unlock special spells and abilities and earn new titles and other rewards. Players will also be able to instantly boost to level 100 to ensure they can take part in the battle against the Burning Legion immediately.

A release date has not yet been announced, but World of Warcraft: “Legion” will be available for Windows PC and Mac.
