Sony took to the PlayStation Blog to announce a beta testing program for PS4 firmware.
The opportunity is specific to the console’s next piece of firmware, set to update version 2.57. Sony advised that those who elect to test will be able to roll back to 2.57 if they wish.
It’s assumed the beta update in question is Sony’s PS4 v3.00 firmware, said to include support for YouTube streaming.
Interested parties can sign up here, with Sony saying the beta test will kick off in North America sometime in September. More information will be provided closer to the beta date for those who become successful applicants.
