Mighty No. 9 could be delayed to 2016

Polygon is reporting that various online retailers including Amazon and Gamestop have updated their release dates for physical copies of Mighty No. 9 to 2016. While digital storefronts still list the original 15 September date, it is unknown if this is an across the board delay or just an issue with physical copies of the game.

Developer Comcept has yet to comment on the issue, but the use of a placeholder ‘2016’ date on the sites is a move that would be initiated by the publisher. Chances are this issue only affects retail copies of the game and Mighty No 9 will be available from digital stores for both consoles and PC on its original release date, but I hope this isn’t an indicator of a larger issue with the game, whether a full delay or even a cancellation of the physical release.
