Metal Gear Solid V now coming to PC day and date with consoles

Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will arrive for PC the same day as the console release, 1 September. Originally scheduled for 15 September, PC gamers will no longer have to wait two agonising weeks to experience what may be the final Metal Gear Solid adventure.

It bodes well for the PC port of Phantom Pain that it has been pushed forward, hopefully it should avoid the technical issues that plagued games such as Arkham Knight. The release of Ground Zeroes late last year on the same engine will have helped in that regard.

So rejoice PC gamers, if you have been turned on to Phantom Pain through its effective use of blood in advertising, now you don’t need to wait (and avoid spoilers for two long weeks) longer than console owners.
