Bungie announces three upcoming Destiny live reveals

It’s Friday, and that means its time for Guardians to sift through Bungie’s weekly update for clues on the upcoming “Taken King” DLC. Fear not; we’ve done the hard work for you.

Bungie announced it will once again be streaming three live reveals on Wednesdays (Thursday mornings for Aussies) leading up to the launch of “The Taken King”.

The first is planned for 20 August at 4.00 am AEST and will cover the transition into year two and what players should be doing to prepare. Bungie said it will explain the new Light level amongst other items. If past streams are anything to go by, it’s safe to assume they’ll be explaining some of the new materials and activities available in the tower. They warn not to dismantle your weapons and gear until you’ve been briefed so we could even be seeing what charges are coming to our all important vaults.

The second stream will focus on combat in the new explorable area the Dreadnaught. Reading between the lines suggests this will be gameplay of one of the new strikes. We may see the new Hive boss Darkblade but it sounds more likely the end boss will be the twin Cabal bosses from the various new trailers. The stream will go live 27 August at 4.00 am AEST.

The final stream will take us back to the Dreadnaught again and show off what to expect on patrol including the new Court of Oryx public event. This is apparently not the Prison of Elders rehash it sounds like rather an area for guardians to congregate and initiate public events at their whim. The final stream is set for 3 September at 4.00 am AEST.

Are you planning on getting up early for any of these live streams?
