Xbox One to Windows 10 streaming out of preview, available to all

Major Nelson announced (via Xbox Wire) today that game streaming from Xbox One to Windows 10 is now available to everyone with both the console and a Windows 10 tablet or PC.

Provided the tablet or PC has the Xbox app installed and are both connected to a network, users will be able to stream any game installed on their Xbox One though their Windows 10 device. The Xbox app will also enable Windows 10 users to chat with Xbox One players and vice versa.

Another feature of the Xbox app is My Games which will automatically search for and add Windows store games and “a large number of older non-Windows store PC games” to the app. Whether the “non-Windows store PC games” refers to Steam remains to be seen.

For full details on how to stream games from your Xbox One check out the post on Xbox Wire.

Windows 10 launches 29 July.
