Shenmue III finding more ways to take your money, including PS4 physical copies

The Shenmue III Kickstarter rolls on, like a forklift making its way around the docks at dawn. With 12 days to go and $4.3m USD in the bank already, YS Net is making another push for backers with further physical rewards including a much demanded disc copy of the game for PS4.

All backers at the $60 USD tier or higher can now request a PS4 physical copy of the game. PC physical copies are unchanged and still available. Those of you who have dominated the arm wrestling scene, played the capsule toy market or just worked really hard at the docks moving crates around can indulge in some of the new top tier rewards, including getting your face on a Lucky Hit board for $4,000 USD, becoming an NPC Ryo gets to beat up for $10,000 USD or dinners with Yu Suzuki around the world, also for $10,000 USD.

Shenmue III has ambitious stretch goals all the way to $11m USD and plenty of questions about external investment and Sony’s role in development, but YS Net is also listening to the fans about their rewards. While I can only wish to afford to get my virtual ass kicked by Ryo, there will undoubtedly be some Shenmue fans out there willing to put down that much and since the announcement of these rewards funding has spiked at a rate only bettered by the first two days of the campaign.
