Retro City Rampage bringing joy to 486 owners with MS-DOS release

For too long gamers stuck with 90’s PC technology have been neglected by publishers. Not all of us can afford those pricey PC upgrades, and finally those of us still playing Spear of Destiny instead of Bungie’s Destiny can get our hands on something (sort of) new, Retro City Rampage: MS-DOS Edition.

Retro City Rampage developers Vblank Entertainment went to great pains to emulate the 8-bit era with their original GTA inspired open world action game, so much so that it could actually run on NES hardware. It only made sense to port it to MS-DOS, and it will actually run on 486 era hardware, though most of us will probably get that experience through DOSBox.

Retro City Rampage is available for PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS and PC through Steam, for those of you who don’t have access to a 486 MS-DOS machine.
