PlayStation Plus to implement voting on monthly content

NeoGAF user El_Cinefilo has taken to the forums to describe a video he discovered on his PS4’s “What’s New” section.

While browsing the section he found a video titled “Vote to Play” which described a system that would see PlayStation Plus subscribers voting on three games. The title with the most votes will be included in the next month’s Instant Game Collection while the two runners up will be offered at a discount.

Another user posted a transcript of the video which reads, “An exciting way to have your say on what you’d like to play next through PlayStation Plus. While voting is open you will be able to check which tiles are receiving the most votes or change your own vote at any time. Then the votes will be counted and the chosen game will be available as part of the PS+ monthly games the following month.

“If your favorite game wasn’t chosen it will be available to be purchased with a PS+ discount.”

One thing to note from the screenshot above is the title on the right; Grow Home. It was released for PC earlier in the year and Ubisoft said at the time that it may be more widely released if it sold well. Take it with a grain of salt, but Grow Home could be coming to PS4.

What do you think of the Vote to Play idea?
