Your iPhone 6 Plus won’t fit inside your real-life Fallout 4 Pip-Boy

The humongous iPhone 6 Plus won’t fit inside Fallout 4‘s real-life Pip-Boy, Bethesda recently confirmed.

The publisher took to the Bethesda Blog to confirm that Fallout 4‘s special edition Pip-Boy “will have foam inserts that fit iPhone 6, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 4/4S, Samsung Galaxy 5, and Samsung Galaxy 4.”

Similar-sized phones will also work inside the Pip-Boy.

At its E3 press conference, Bethesda announced that the Pip-Boy companion app — perfect for phones inside the actual Pip-Boy housing — will be available on iOS and Android.

“As we wanted to stay faithful to the dimensions of the in-game model, any smartphones larger than the models listed will not fit inside the wearable device,” Bethesda explained. “For these larger devices, our Pip-Boy companion app will still be available.”

Fallout 4 and its special edition Pip-Boy will be available from 10 November on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Those real-life Pip-Boys are already sold out in Australia.
